The latest version on the ATI site is still 4.10. Not surprising, considering that they just came out. I suspect that the OP made a typo.

Let me clear something up:

The drivers have a real complex naming structure that to date no one has been able to crack - till now...

4.10 translates into the year 2004 and the month of October. I am developing a new device (portable) to enable each driver release a simple translation into month and year.

Lets hope I get some buyers and no one else figures the code out.

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gifJust found this on another site.

I also found this on same site.

The new drivers are worth the download only if you have a 256 MB
card, though.I have an ATI Radeon 9700PRO(128 MB) and I saw some
improvements but if you have a 256 MB card you're gonna have much better
FPS in games and even better 3DMark scores.

I have a Radeon 9700TX card. Earlier this week I upgraded from CAT 4.8 to CAT 4.10.

Couple of things €"

For this particular card I didn't really see any appreciable improvement in IL-2 or the other games I play.

While the new CCC looks great the overhead to run it will reduce your available system resources (unless you strip it down).

Finally, I play Call of Duty with my squad, and the new CAT apparently conflicts with PunkBuster (an anti-cheat program it uses).

I have reverted back to 4.9 CAT awaiting the next release.

In any event, I understand the real improvements are for newer cards with 256MB, which now takes full advantage of this memory capacity, as well as the new CAT provides the software ability to overclock certain (newer) cards.

The AI feature is interesting but doesn't presently offer any real benefit unless you have DOOM3, which is why they really got into the AI feature to begin with (i.e., to compete with the benchmarks of their competitor in this game). In time this feature will be even better as code is written to utilize this feature.

Im guessing the 4.11 drivers he is talking about are what are more commonly known as the 8.07 hotfix drivers. If so, yes those are fast.
