Allow us to look trough periscope, manual calculate range and bearing and tell navigator to mark this data map, instead of god eye markings.
Navigator should drow ruler lines on tactical map from sub position to ship, using given data of range end bearing. If range is not known then simply draw line of bearing to max. visibility range.
Also add time of that mark on map. After few marks and given time, we can calculate speed of ship.
This will be very helpfull feature, and not unrealistic method of collecting data, and also we do not need to jump from stations to station all the time (periscope/map).
If we do not spot some ship/escort that is not
shown on map.
The same method for hydrophones, listen contacts and tell navigator to mark bearings and time of bearings.
That will be more based on players skills, instead of point and shoot, when oficiers give us deadly accurate data of ship.
This will be very helpfull, and also navigator do not have to be 100% accurate, based on his
endurance/morale/expirience, so if some player want to do this all by himself, he could benefit from that.

Also oficier identify ship 100% accurate even when only smoke of ship is visible. That is unrealistic, he could just tell us that is too far for him to identify ship. That can be also based on his endurance/morale/expirience

- need radio message trigers, events and objectives for mission editor.
That will make radioman useful.
For example: we spot some convoy, send radio message to Bdu, and then it triggers spawn of friendly ships/submarines.
As addition, via Radio message we could send objectives to spawned friendly unit (new waypoint(s), shadow ships - only report positions to us (without attack), Fire shells at specific locations, tell someone to report his position to us etc.
It will be even better if you can allow us to add custom triggers/events into game.

That was just a idea to make this game even a better.

Sorry dude, but I think the patches aren't adding anything at all. The patches so far seem to be taking away from this sim, not adding! Maybe you should download an old DOS emulator and play AOTD! That's what I would do if I were you!
