I'm just trying to help SaQSon with the J2M3 pit and gave him some datas of the J2M3 in Chino, but sadly there's no further help with the indefication of the instruments. Maybe some of you can help on that and complete the gauges list below. I just posted some but feel free to correct them if wrong

Have you tried contacting the folks at Chino ?

Here's the web site for anyone interested.

http://www.planesoffame.org/

PS Have Japanese book with lots of info & pics of the Chino Raiden, will check & see if it has any useful info on the gauges when I get home.

Hmph. A look at Funatsu Indicators museum doesn't really help, because the listed indicators aren't numbered. They just give a list of the indicators USED in the panel...

#17 (that's missing) is a ball directional gyro compass.
#23 is Climb/Dive rate indicator
#24 I believe is an altimeter.
#27 is a radio. They all have those red/black labels on them.

I'd suggest going to ebay and finding a Maru Mechanic on Jack...then, you'll have to get someone who reads Japanese to translate the very nice cockpit guides they have.

#31 is probably Cowl Flaps, or oil cooler...

Try here.

I found all the Zero gauges on here so you might be lucky.

Cheers!

Send me a PM, I have most sources readily available, but so have a number of people involved in PF...
