its the same for every plane so you dont really have any more right then the rest of us to ***** about this

The BF109 is one of the easier to fly series anyway, so that devalues your post even more

I disagree 100%

No actually more than 100%, it has hardly changed at all, maybe your experiencing "crappy patch exaggeration syndrome", i know a few people who got it at the release of 401 and quit the game

And anyway, 109s are meant to be **** at high speed and they were in 3.04 as well and 1.00. Start using 190s if you want to fight at high speeds.

All aircraft change between patches...probably has to do with fudging the FM to behave the best on all possible systems, configurations, and to work the best for all possible scenarios. Its not likely an easy process and things change...

Also, new information is being sent to Oleg all the time. A new chart or graph may change how the aircraft works if it proves to be valid or if it fills in a missing piece of the puzzle (I doubt grossly unsupported documents get more than a few questionary seconds before being tossed).

The 109 is a tricky plane for me...the feel of a turn fighter but the firepower, climb, and manueverability of a more energy type fighter. You sort of have to fly in between the two worlds of air combat to do well.

One of these days I need to reinstall IL-2 Sturmovik just for the shock value.

The 109 has been my favourite ride since the original game. I have more time flying time in 109s than all other types combined, by far I would have to say. The flight model "adjustments" are indeed frustrating, but basically I fly this plane the same way I always have... at least since I learned to get some altitude and hopefully be the predator and not the prey. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

You is wrong about that, which devalues your post... especially because you is a n00b.

btw, did you all vote? Just so you know, "30" is leading the voting with 100%.

its cos they always whine about not getting new models so they change current models with each patch so its like a new 109 everytime http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Some 109s might not be what they were in the last patch, but if you go back and fly them the way they were in the original IL2, or in the early Forgotten Battles, you will see that in 4.03 they fly very nicely.

Get the old Il2, and go fly it on Hyperlobby against some of the guys there, and you will be stunned at how much easier it is to fly now.

IN some patches the 109s turned so badly and stalled so easily, it actually taught a lot of us to quit turning it at all and to just use energy tactics and the boom and zoom with it! We were forced to learn new tactics every patch to keep it flying online and getting kills against the reds. The blue side of online dogfight servers ALWAYS needed more men, and when the occasional red jock tried out a 109 for an evening they would freely comment thier disbelief at how we flew them at all.

You punk as s kids don't know how good you have it.

MiG-3 1940 is harder to fly, as it should. I love it! Maybe we are slowly converging to BoB New FM, and we are Panicking.

There was much Whining about Old LaGG, and no testing. Anybody test New LaGG series 4.03?

No http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif

I think the experienced Old Timer flight simmers still think WW2 air combat was all about shooter scoring. In real life, even the Aces had to follow Rule #1 -- fly the plane first. That's what Easy settings are for, I hope.

Anybody test Easy FM settings in Patch series 4.03?

No http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif

Original G-6 :: I still have nightmares about it. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif its totally different , i remember in PF when i tried it again in a Coop - i was totally surprised (but even so - if i have to be in a 43 109 - make it the Late G6 http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif )

not many flew the G6 in FB v1.0 more than once or twice - it was outclassed by nearly everything at nearly everything
