I vote for the TIR4, since the rudder pedals are apparently not an option.

If you're gonna buy a Fighterstick, you're gonna need rudder pedals.

As for a big new monitor, yeeeeaaaaahhh baby, but that's a much bigger ticket, unless we're talking something like a 19-20" widescreen.

cheers

first and formost is that BIG window on the virtual world...the rest is secondary.

you can have TiR and rudder pedals if you want, but if you are looking into a little square box with low res. you are missing the picture- get it?...missing the picture?...get it?

see 'cause its the monitor and its the picture and

Rudder pedals would sure be on my list if I didn't have a set. Unless you are flying a 6d0f enabled sime like FSX or BoB WoV I would probably hold off on the TiR4 and save for the monitor. If you are playing the above games get the TiR4. Who knows, by the time BoB is out we may have a TiR5.

If your current monitor is 19" or better.. and thewre is nothing wrong with your X-45... get the TIR4. I have yet to use my track clip... the gear that comes with it is fine.. and I went from a TIR 2 to a TIR4.... Im loving it.

At the moment TIR is unneccesary for me, since I use the stick in my left hand and my right hand is on the mouse, which is fine for the 3 DOF we have now.

When SOWBOB comes out, I'll probably want to get a trackIR.

It's quite expensive though... $200 for the unit and one of those things that clips onto your headphones, minus shipping.

Ouch.
