I can now just about take down bombers, now i am starting to learn dogfighting. I am playing with unlimted ammo as i cant shoot at all. I fly the la-5. I cant get my deflection right, i shoot hgundreds of rounds from about 300-700m but i can hit at all. Also, once an enemy is on my tail, i cant shake them off, they either down me, or run out of ammo.

What are the best guides for shooting paticularly deflection and manouvres and deflection?
Where can i find them?

1- you can't hit anything at 300-400m
2- you must familiarize with the muzzle speed
3- there is no manual, you only can count with experience
4- put unlimited ammo, or you will never get used to it
5- the best targets for practrice are the Li-2 (c-47), He-129 and Ju-52
6-try the me-109 with the mg-151 gunpods,

Set your convergance to 250-350m max (use the lower number for MGs and the higher one for cannon). Dont shoot till you get within that range until you get your deflection shooting together. Alternate between unlimitted and limited ammo (say 30% unlimmited-70%limmited to start) moving progressively towards full limited ammo. Using unlimited ammo in this way will help you get used to the ammo load of the particular plane you fly, while at the same time giving you the extra ammo you need to perfect your aim. Pick a plane and stick with it till you get it right then the transition to another plane will be easier. In about a month you should be able to go full unlimmited 95% of the time.

Hello Jimmy, do you still wear those tracksuits and dye your hair? Suppose things are a bit quiet now what with no top of the pops and well, Jim'l Fix It, how long did you think you could get away with that? Try taking that cigar out of your gob when your flying, the smoke gets in yer eyes and spoils your aim.

Tedious unoriginal wooly philoshophical statement the pith of which is lost in repetition.

I lean out the window and light the cigar of my burning engine. The tracksuits are easy to fly in, but the gold chains restrict my head movement

I chose the name after i watched the interview with Louis theroux. JS is just such a weird person, hes just so outdated its funny which is why i like him

The fighter pilot's bible is "Fighter Combat: Tactics and Manuevering", by Robert Shaw, Naval Institute Press.

Anyone who hasn't read it and flaps their jaws about ACM is just blowing hot air.
