This new map is fantastic. Just one question? Is the smaller island intended to be Pantelleria. Nice backdrop for an Operation Corkscrew:

I believe there was an Operation Corkscrew on Mission for today. This map could inspire an update.

Had a great Osprey book somewhere on this little skirmish, I should dig it up.

In fact, it's an online-map.

It could be barcadi-island if you wanted http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/winky.gif

Gotta love making war above the Bacardi Beaches.

Well, for a mission builder I suppose you can make the island Malta or Pantelleria. I was hoping that maybe someone might know from an ealier post what the designers had intended.

A look at google maps shows Malta much larger and with a small satellite island to the west. Either way its a cool map.

I guess I could have posted this in the Mission Builder forum.

the southern coast is the tobruk area (tubruk in the center), malta is much more west of this area. As was mentioned, it's an online map not to scale.

what a horrible article http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif You'd have thought the guy could find a spell-checker before writing that up.

No it isn't.
The southern land mass is.... jus a anonymous land mass, and has physically nothing to do with the Lybian area.

Shure as hell resembles Tobruk in a way.
But it stays Bacardi Land.

What do you know. There really is a Bacardi Island.

I know, my parents have been there a few months ago - it's a hotel-island right now.
But it's far from being that island-paradise as it's propagandized in that liqour-commercial http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif
