heres what i do and its pretty accurate, the Basic formula for IAS to TAS is [ Ias x 2% ] x [altitude per thousand, 15000 feet = 15] + Ias
Lemme give ya a sample. 190mph take 2% of that and ya get 3.8 get your altitude, lets use 17000 feet, multiply 3.8x 17 and ya get 64.6
Now you add the 64.6 to 190 and you get the tas of 254.6 set your bombsight to 260 and yer pretty dang close, just watch where the bombs fall and learn where to place the crosshairs for a direct hit > hope this helps btw yes i do fly with a calculator handy

Forgotten Battles CD2, in the folder named "Manual" you'll find .pdf versions of the manual and quick reference card and a chart showing TAS/IAS conversions for various speeds & altitudes.

Also, the arcadish speed guage that shows in "no-cockpit" view (Ctrl-F1) reads TAS if you have the "Cockpit On" difficulty setting turned off.
