Hi everyone! I haven't given up on URU yet!

I have my daughters Windows ME computer and tried to install and get as far as inserting the 2nd disk when I get this message:

Feature transfer error

Feature: Default Feature
Component:
File:
Error: Catastrophic Failure

I then tried a Clean Boot install and got this message:

Setupuru has caused an error in DIRAPI.DLL
Setup will now close.

Does anyone know what might be the problem?

Thanks Heidi

Dirapi.dll is a Shockwave Player and Flash Player file. You'll get that error message if Dirapi.dll is missing
or damaged.

Do the following in the order shown:
-- a. Log into Windows with full Administrator privileges, and close all open programs.
-- b. Use Control Panel's Add or Remove Programs to uninstall *all* installed versions of both Macromedia (now Adobe) Shockwave Player and Macromedia Flash Player,.
-- c. Reboot, log into Windows with full Administrator privileges, and close all open programs.
-- d. Re-install:
----- 1. Flash Player (http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash&promoid=BONRN)
----- 2. Shockwave Player (http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?)
-- e. Use Control Panel's Add or Remove Programs to uninstall Uru, if you can find an entry for the game.
-- f. Reboot, log into Windows with full Administrator privileges, and close all open programs.
-- g. Install CC.

Thanks Heimdall,

I did every thing you said except that I didn't have Flash Player to begin with and I can only find Shockwave8 in the C:/WINDOWS/SYSTEM/Macromed folder and there is no uninstall file nor will it show up in Add/Remove Programs. How do I remove it safely?

I attempted loading the two files anyway, rebooted and tried to install CC... no luck the same message as before displays as soon as I insert the next CD and click on OK. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/compsmash.gif

Did Flash and Shockwave both install successfully?

My greatest appologies for not reposting sooner!!!

As it turns out the computer is now undergoing major surgery! It required a new hard drive and now I have to go purchase a new OS since the old disk that goes with the product key is MIA!

Once that is done it should load OK but if not I'll let you know.

Thanks again for all your assistance!
