View Full Version : Xbox 360 vs Pc Comparison.

Decided to take down the demo for my 360 and make a side to side compare. Even though the 360 only is 1024x576 and probably lacks ambient ambient occlusion it still looks decent.

I purchased the XBOX 360 and PC version, when playing they both look and sound nearly identical. The pc looks good when you crank up the aa and af and in higher resolution. The shadows seem to have more depth and are darker on the XBOX 360 but that might be because of HDMI and Expanded reference level in the 360's display settings and my HDTV/LCD monitor. The PC version loads the levels much quicker too, and the beauty of the PC version is you can switch between the use of a controller or mouse. I only use the XBOX 360 for coop play because my mate lives a few blocks away and you have instant voice comms where as setting up comms is a tad tricky for PC, but do-able http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif.

My only gripe is a graphics glitch on both platforms when your playable character holds certain weapons, i'll post a screenshot to show what i mean.

i noticed that the pc version also gets slightly darker with ambient occlusion off. Thought it would be the other way around. But mainly it just feels like the pc version is a lot sharper.

They look nearly identicle, PC version is sharper, but that is to be expected.

I was really hoping Conviction was going to make use of DX10/11, but Ubi are to console focused to make use of the PCs more up-to-date features.
