glad you like them - the camera is a Minolta Dimage 7Hi. I'm still learning how to use it so ( I hope ) my pics will get better. I figured out how to make the prop look like it's moving today rather than static too /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

thats awesome. I went to an airshow here in Brisbane (Aust) on Saturday but the range of aircraft wasn't as good. They had:

- Fiat (can't remember the name - awesome italian fighter)
- F111 (which did a burnout)
- TBF Avenger
- Mig 3
- Hudson medium bomber
- DC3
- Stinson
- Wirraway
- Zero
- Boomerang (same as used in the Finnish war here on IL2)
and a couple of training planes.

Not bad on a whole, although the F111 flyby and fuel dump stole the show!

Both Spitfires look like XIV to me...the silver/white/red Spitfire is a XIV and the grey/blue one, with OEJ markings looks like a XIVE.

The red and silver Spit was the one at Goodwood on Saturday, I'm sure the commentator said it was a 'sixteen', though I could be wrong. Of course, so could he!

I flew over to the Duxford show from Bath in a friend's Trinidad. It was the first time I'd been to Duxford, and the museum was very good indeed, in addition to an excellent airshow.

There's a static B-17 you can get right up to and I spent an entertaining few minutes peering into the ball-turret and tail-gunner's compartment. What was particularly noticeable about the B-17 was the lack of armour protection for most of the crew. Maybe it's been stipped, but the ball-turret gunner seemed to be hanging in space with only a few bits of glass between him and any incoming fire. Not for me, thank you!

If you're in the UK, the Duxford museum is definitely worth a visit.

RocketDog.

Fantastic Pictures esp of the Arrows, we saw them over our house on Sunday and it always makes me smile esp since me Dad used to fly on them back in the days of the Gnats.

We just got our Neighbours of Duxford Cards on Friday, they allow us free entry into Duxford any time apart from on the shows..... Sorted!

I think I might be there everynight after work until my wife walks out taking the kids with her, then I can go at the weekends as well.... :-)

Well you might have let me know! /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif I had to drive all the way from Bath; I could have come along as a stowaway!
Well worth the drive though, a great show.

Ladies & gentlemen, this is the captain speaking. Thankyou for choosing to fly Mandarin Airlines. Those passengers sitting on the left-hand side of the aeroplane please make yourselves comfortable. Those sitting on the right... please look to your left!

LOL - well technically it is a five seater, but there were three huge blokes in the aircraft plus me so space would have been tight and we'd have needed all the runway /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif .

Where abouts in Bath are you? I live in Bradford-on-Avon and work at the university.

Great pics. I have a Minolta Dimage 7i and love the pics it takes. I've had it almost a year (since it came out) and matched with PhotoShop 7, it's unstoppable. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

My Wife B*tched for a week about the cost of the two until I started getting some great pics and burning them to CD's for family and friends.

Lol...it'll pay for itself in saved developing costs in...oh...about 20 years!
