I really look forward to this game and it had me thinking about an open topic research paper im beginning. The paper will be about the hashashin and original clan of assassins during the third crusade...any help on books relating to this topic would be helpful... If you have time please inform me of any other things you know about this topic even if its not in a book

You can star with Hassan e Sabbah, you can also look for the writings of Marco Polo.

Yes Marco Polo was part of a secret society of Assassins who pretended to explore the earth........ hahhaha jk no.

But he did write about them.

I remember reading or watching something about the sources the AC devs used, and them talking about the books from which they got their source material. Unfortunately, I can't remember where I read/heard this. All I can tell you is that I've been looking at most everything that gamespot.com and gametrailers.com have on AC, so it has to be somewhere in there.

I know it's not much help, but it shouldn't be much of a chore to look through that stuff since we're all crazy about AC anyway! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif
