http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/1072.gif Same here. Grrr! NOWHERE does ubi warn you that you must have a certain OS installed to use this download shop! They let you waste your money first! I wrote already to customer support about this. No reply yet of course it is friday afternoon in Europe.

Bah , i guess that all that b***&&$ does is download an exe file containing the add-on. So try to find a good soul which has already downloaded it and copy it ( as I understand that exe file connects to ubi in order to validate your serial no ) so no actual piracy is involved in copying it from someone else . :P.

Contact customer support, explain the problem and i am sure there is a solution. Win98 are not longer supported, even by Microsoft. Come on guys, do the extra step before you flip out lol

M$ gave up supporting it years ago. Technically they don't even support 2000 anymore.

Seriously....

Actually 98 came out in 97 if i recall.

It also doesnt see memory beyond 512mb so its an unsuitable OS for games that need large amounts of ram like IL2.

But that is beside the point, if it genuinely doesnt work with win98 it should say so on the website so you know there is an issue before you buy it.

...you're still running Win98???

You know, there are some serious memory allocation issues with W98. It's junk. Get rid of it and get XP, for cryin' out loud already...

Heck, even XP's about to get replaced soon. Still, it's one of MS's better OSs, as long as you got enough system to run it comfortably.
