View Full Version : Will Desmond turn rogue? - Slight Brotherhood spoilers

Right, now although I have no basis on this it's the feeling I keep getting whenever I read through the emails on the computer or when Lucy disappeared. Well, actually it's mostly about Lucy.

Brotherhood rather unsettled me towards the Assassin cause and I can't shake the feeling that the Assassins aren't what we think they are and that (at least the modern Assassins) are by no means the 'good guys' of this scenario. I mean the Templars believe they're doing the right thing so if we were playing from their point of view we would by no doubt at least sympathise with their cause. I just think if the Assassins screw Desmond over (like if the guys at the end of Brotherhood turn out to rub Desmond the wrong way) he'll just go rogue and do what he feels to be right rather than being a puppet of either Abstergo or the Assassins.

I don't know if I've conveyed my feelings well but tl;dr - The Assassins are giving me a weird feeling and I think Desmond will leave them.

Thats how it was in AC1, and it was alluded to in the codex. The assassins and templars both want a good thing, but it all comes down to the means of how they did it.

It seems like the writers have been getting lazy though, and are just portraying the templars as power hungry tyrants and in modern days, republicans. So maybe they are going to try to go back to the philosophical dilemma of who is right, or just keep doing the lazy good is good, evil is evil.

This would be a cool twist.

This post needs to be sent to everyone at Ubi that has anything to do with Assassin's Creed. I really don't like the clear cut good guys and bad guys thing. That kind of stuff is for simple people.

Yeah, I mean I went into Assassin's Creed knowing that I had Templar blood in my ancestry (Uncle is a Historian, brings up lots of interesting facts) so maybe a little less hate would be appreciated http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Cheers for the responses guys, the 'lazy writers' idea doesn't sit too well with me as I've read an article about the lead writer and he seems very, very passionate.

Did Templars have a unique blood type then? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif
