As far as i know, it is not possible to have blood show up in the cockpit

You have to change the config.ini file, the line namned Gore.Change it to 1,but itÔ┬┤s only visible in HE111 and one or more of the 109s and some AIÔ┬┤s

It is, but, only a few aircraft have this modelled.

You must find the setting in the .INI file, that looks something like this "Highgore=0"

Change it to 1 and look for the blood.

shall be judged: and with what
measure ye mete, it shall be
measured to you again.

You can download Il2 Manager from Checksix - there's a high gore setting in there. But as has been mentioned, not many 'planes are modelled with this feature - I've only ever seen it on a He111 after a head on attack.

Of course this blood isn't visible in the cockpit view...

You mean isn't visible in NO cockpit view...

Anyway, whith HighGore=1 in conf.ini and/or with "Blood option" ON in IL-2 Manager I've still seen NO blood.
I've tried He.111, Yaks, and some others... no blood.
If anyone has a screenshot plase provide, I'm just cutious to see how it looks like!

No, no, no what I meant was that the blood is only visible in external view. Too bad really.

High gore works on the F4 and the PBR, and it used to work on the old He 111 model in the original IL2. That's it.

Yes, a screenshot would be interesting as many previous posts have re-enforced the view that gore was disabled by the developers. Despite the option being available in the config. file, gore was axed to appease the poltically correct guardians of the countless children who we have all, no doubt, experienced flying online, and expounding the finer points of FB in the forums. If Oleg/Ubi-soft allow no gore in their games, then what will their upcoming land based WWII sim look like?

It looks great in the MBR when you kill the front gunner, blood blown back all over the fuselage.

Gore only works in a few A/C...bf109 early models and HE-111's and thats in the first IL-2, i dont think it works in FB, but one way you can modify your settings without using the ini commands is by downloading IL-2 manager 3.0 from here: http://www.checksix-fr.com/bibliotheque/detail_fichier.php?ID=1091
