Hi Guys,

I've been using a Soundblaster 5.1 Live and Redeon 9700pro but I'm thinking of upgrading. Are there any produts out there that are well suited to Forgotten Battles more than others?

Thanks a bunch......................

Are you asking the creator of this sim?

Better go to this forum:

Get a Audigy 2 platinum series and keep your 9700 Pro unless it is dying then replace it with a 9800 Pro. I have stuck with my 9700 Pro because it just runs so well.

Thanks Eagle. And Also, It wouldn't hurt to hear from Oleg on what products he uses for development and testing. Maybe he has. If anyone knows, can you please post the link.

Thanks.

I use the Audigy 2 Platinum

I would recommend looking else where for a sound card.

From all the reviews - it looks as though it may not be the top anymore -

I have alot of popping and crackle from time to time - and from what I have read 95% of the A2P users are experiencing the same.

I concur on the 9700 pro - I have an overclocked 9700 non pro which is very close in performance to my 9800pro (5500 points in 3dmark 03 vs 5700). I would wait until the next generation of video cards to upgrade. You can learn about overclocking your card at www.rage3d.com (http://www.rage3d.com).
I use an sb audigy. I really don't know what would be significantly better but would be happy to hear.

This should be in general discussion.

9700? Jeez, I have a 9000pro, get 55-60 fps on full tilt boogey graphics, but not on perfect as this gives me pink ground. Why upgrade? Aren't you getting at least as good as me? The eye can't see better than 55fps, the only way you'll be able to tell is to get a program to tell you your framerate.
