Yah yah yah. If there were no FB people would be spending time to tweak CFS3 and build cool mods to make it a great sim since we need at least one.

Instead everyone takes their metamucil and comes to this forum to drop their stool on CFS3.

Does it ever get old? Naw, there's always someone new to take the torch.

Me? I'd like to build FB's terrain into CFS3 and then see a) how much faster the FPS are b) how much more boring the scenery looks c) how many of you drool over it and d) how many of you still pretend you're in a monogamous relationship with a flight simulator and continue to defend your lover FB to the death by crapping all over everything else.

Oh, and if there were no CFS3 I'd be flying instrument approaches in FS2002/4.

Without FB and other WWII combat sims (including armor sims and FPS) to keep me occupied, I probably would have been forced to go out more and meet a nice girl, get married, start a family and take more interest in my career ...

Either that or subscribe to cable television.

I certainly wouldn't have spent thousands of dollars on hardware, software, peripherals, internet service and history books!

I would fly the programs I have:Jane's WW2fighters, European Air War, and CFS ETO. I fly them all...now...with IL2 - enjoy them all for their own quirks. And NO, I have not dropped the cash ($70.00 CDN) for FB because the "call" is not there!

I'd be pinning for a good WW2 flight sim, and I'd have bought Operation Flashpoint: GOTY Edition just so I could plant satchel charges around M-113's and see how far they fly /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif .

Man, that's was funny stuff.... "What's that's clanking noise?" <M113 lands nearby....>

You have to try it at least once to appreciate just how damn funny it is. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Playing Grand Prix Legends or RtCW (for the zillionith time).

Failing that, I'd be waiting for Hidden & Dangerous 2 to come out. One day, one day....

Or my tertiary studies....

And we'd all still be waiting for a good WW2 combat sim....

THANK YOU OLEG!! You saved a generation from madness. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

For me, jets suck................... I want something with a blade out there...even when I have to get into a "real" plane, so...I either drive or take very short hops. I've flown a lot of sims, but if there isn't a prop out there, I find that you are at best a guest and at worst a passanger. From reading, I have found this to accurate, from Korea to the various "Gulf" wars. I do not diminish the service or sacrifice of those who had to "ride the rocket" in these many conflicts, but it really isn't the same as flying a SE.5a or a Me 109 or a Spitfire Mk1. There is a real difference between "flying" and "guiding" and jets suck. The day is quickly coming, when pilots will no longer "fly". It will all be remote control and video. If the younger crowd is bothering to read this...they would do well to "sharpen" their "video" skills because that is what will be in demand. It simply is more cost effective and there are no "MIA's" or body bags to deal with.
With respect and considerable remorse for the passing of "in flight" combat,
