Great vid.
Just my observation but the 109 looks rock steady at low alt but the spit seems to have the jitters.
Love both plane's and would have to think both pilots are among the best for the owners to let them go{if not the owners themselves] on like that. So would be thinking 109-G-10 more stable at low alt.

might the propwash of the 109 be affecting the airflow over the Spitfire's wing? just a thought.

... or the fact that the 109 is leading and the Spit must keep it's position. That's a tougher job.

More likely the Spit is trying to keep station which is forcing the small constant adjustments.

I have had the honor of working near a lot of operational WWII aircraft and have heard almost every engine in almost every aircraft still flying. The only exception is the DB and BMW's. I really need to mark those off my list one day. Just so few of them out there!

Nice to see a proper looking 109 instead of those hideous Buchons.

It would be cool to get a comparison of the two restored aircraft from someone who has flown both!

terrific video. thanks for the link.
would be nice with a seperate pass so you could better distinguish each engine although it was easy to hear the high pitch howl of the 109 and the wonderful roar of the merlin.

if the sound in SOW is not 90% like that, i think its completly understandable why people mod the game. come on Oleg. you have to do this right!!!

glad to post this for you guys. Great stuff huh! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

ya the 109 does look rock steady but that may be the airplanes positioning as is said. It's rock steady handling at that low altitude was quite impressive thou. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/partyhat.gif
