Every I time I try to use the rudder for small corrections my nose bucks back and foreth like crazy. So, every time I try to hit something, I have to try to hit it as my nose goes by. I'm lucky if I get on the fusuluage at all, and aiming at a part of it is out of the question. I have a Saitek Evo. Suggestions? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

You got "the wobbles", sort of a feature in the new FM, which depending on your system varies from unplayable to slightly annoying. If yours isn't in the unplayable side (huge oscillations even during straight flying and without input) then you'd better just get used to it. I also have the Evo and "the wobbles".

If you use an AMD processor:
Rename or delete this file in the game folder (remember to backup the file): il2_coreP4.dll

Make sure that you have no 'missing number' at the end of any of the lines in the [rts_joystick] section of your conf.ini file.

Reduce the left slider settings in the yaw settings (in the game).
You can do that in game setup, or using IL-2 Sensitivity Tool.
I suspect that the game will sometimes give you a hard time if you use more than one stick/HOTAS. The IL-2 Stick Sensitivity Tool makes it easier to set up more than one stick/HOTAS.

Add a bit of filter to the joystick axis settings.

If all these things dont help you, I would have suggested that you made a game reinstall (I did that), but as you have just done that, I guess that wouldn't be of much help.

I haven't been able to remove all my wobbling, but it's certainly reduced from the initial 4.02m.

Nothing helps you these wooble is 4.02 issue!

Disagree 98.765-100%. There're many things to do, such as adjusting your JS settings, deleting the abovementioned DLL (helped me) etc. So U is wrong B sure http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

After more(and in online combat) testing with p51d20, I noticed this problem too. The thing is hitting is not hard but .50 is not meant to use snapshots with, you need a well placed streamline, which is near to impossible to achieve with this swaying.
I would recommend to use P51D5NT because it's easyer to keep it stable due to slip indicator just below the gunsight...

Hey CUDA did you mean X, Y, and Z or 1X 1Y and 1RZ (our actual joytick settings)?

well, all wobble issues disapeared for me when I bought a new stick. I had a Logitech extreme 3d pro and switched to Saitek cyborg evo + CH pedals. The diference is - the pot meters of my old stick had worn out (so, any change in deflection resulted in lots of noise before the little square stabilised at its new position), plus it was quite stiff (the spring) compared to the Saitek - so I couldnt easily maintain a steady pull/stick deflection or change gradualy from one deflection to another. And I could never fly with a twist stick for rudder (in any version).

Unfortunately that does not work for everyone. It made no difference in my case. I'm glad it works for some.

Nothing help against wobble in 4.02. WHy? Beacuse these is only some plane issue. Some plane have near no wobble like P-40 or other have little wobble and some have big wobble like P-51. Its is just 4.02 FM!!!. Any configs, settings and others cant help here. Only new patch with fixed FM some planes can help here.

Ahh so that's whats going on. I was wondering why if I even looked at my rudder pedals the nose would go back n forth like no tomorrow.

I'm using a complete CH HOTAS setup and my CPU is a P4. Any other tweaks I can try? Thanks!

I have no idea why the file can create wobbling on an AMD processor PC, but renaming/deleting it on my AMD based PC is the MAIN reason why I have started flying the Spitfires again after being away from them since the 4.02m patch was applied. The really wobbly planes, like the Spitfires, can now be turned (even hard) without getting out of control. You can NOT delete the file if you use an Intel processor. In the game readme file there is a mention of that the file may have to be renamed/changed on Intel systems, because the file may cause instability. I tried all the tricks I mentioned in my post above, and they helped me reduce the wobbling I was experiencing, but as I mentioned before: the BIGGEST improvement came from renaming/deleting the il2_coreP4.dll file.

dunno if this count for the wobbles but ive tryed everthing but i just cant keep level flight. i have my trim buttons on my joystick and when i press it once it goes to far and vice versa.

Probably not. Play with the sensitivities. Mine are all 100s and some filtering.

That is because you can 'tap' it *or* you can press and hold. If you press and hold it will increase untill you release the button. I prefer 'tap' approach.

That is because you can 'tap' it *or* you can press and hold. If you press and hold it will increase untill you release the button. I prefer 'tap' approach.
