My first skin. I've used the template from Flugzeugwerk.com. As you can guess, it's a non historical scheme. I'd like to know how I could do the exhaust burns a little better. I haven't put any scratch marks on it. Most of my attempts at doing that looked pathetic. So any tips on doing that would be useful, though I'm sure people have mentioned them before. So, here she is!

There are templates out there with the dirt and such already on it thats what i use as i suck at weathering also

"Of all my accomplishments I may have achieved during the war, I am proudest of the fact that I never lost a wingman. It was my view that no kill was worth the life of a wingman. . . . Pilots in my unit who lost wingmen on this basis were prohibited from leading a [section]. They were made to fly as wingman, instead."
Erich 'Bubi' Hartmann "Karaya One"

looks good to me.

For scratches, I use the lasso tool to mark a certain area, the take two grey colors from the swatch, one light and one dark and use the gradient tool in the marked area to get that shining effect, for dirt I usually make a new layer and fill it with a pale grey-beige color and the set the opacity to a good level. like 5-10 percent.

hope that helps!

Duh!

Nice.. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

I make my scratches like this: I select very light blue (allmost White) and take the airpaint tool (or what is is called) and select its range to 2 or 3 pixels and just brush those panel lines littlebit there and littlebit here... Smoke and dirt i make with same tool... color is allmost black and i pull few lines and the i use smudge tool to make it more smooth... maybe not as good as abowe... but works.. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif
