I just installed my new PF over AEP (purchased at Best Buy). Anyway, I noticed that not everything can bee seen in the object viewer. Anyone know why? For example, I can't see the B-25, though I can fly it in campaign.

Again? After AEP PF viewer also not *fully* "fitted"? Hm. I'm dissapointed. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Well I just hope that Hardball Aircraft Viewer for AEP will be updated to ...Viewer for PF.

I don't fully understand what you're saying? Has the in-game one always been broken-- and there's a third party app everyone uses?

the stand alone install is the same way. the B-29 shows up in the quick mission but you cant see it (nor the b25) in the in-game viewer

BUMP! the hardball viewer is excellent for comparing the strengths and weaknesses of all planes, great for finiding your opponents weaknesses. It would be great to get a PF update, with the ful plane list like the AEP hardball veiwer, and all those lovely specs! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

There is an great utility called "HardBall's Aircraft Viewer for AEP" that can be downloaded. Unfortunately I do not have the link of the d/l location. Try search on General Discussion, search word "Hardball". You should be able to found the thread that deals with this problem. In HB's AV, there is absolutely every a/c with detailed description.(for that ver. of the game).

About in-game viewer, it was always incomplete. AEP suffers from this greatly. When you said that it is the same situation in PF, well then http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif. Hope that will improve through future patches.

I've started working on a PF version, but it's going to take a while to complete. If you want to take a look at the AEP version go to the "downloads" section at Netwings:
Here (http://www.netwings.org/library/Forgotten_Battles/Utilities/)

As far as the in-game viewer goes, it does have some gaps, but remember that the info that's already in there is more comprehensive than some books. To include everything in there would take someone out of the loop who could otherwise be working on something more "important". Luckily, there are people in the community who can take up the slack.

Hey m8, thanks for the work, I appreciate that. Your program is a great utility for IL2. A must have for every IL2series player.

And now we will have that updated for PF. Great news. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
