Hey All
Last night I was on HL in a dogfight server.
I decided to make a very fast, very low pass over the E/A airfield. As I did (I think he was talking to me?) a teammember chat barred "idiot"
Well okay if I was wrong I deserved that.
Now this is no big deal but the last thing I want to do is offend anybody.I"m there for fun and thats all.
So is buzzing a field in bad taste?
Or as an individual my teamate did"nt like it?
Oddly none of the enemy side said anything.
If it is wrong my apologies to all that were there.

I would not say its in bad taste to buzz the strip. LOL. One thing that does annoy people is those that refuse to use the taxiways and taking off where they see fit.

But hey! You bought the game and you deserve to have some fun. And if buzzing the field is a good time for you then I say...more power to ya.

AS long as you dont crash into anyone its fine.

He may not have been talking to you, but as someone who usually tries keep some alt above the enemy, seeing a teammate putting themselves in harms way for no good reason and invariably asking for help .... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif

And another thing. If ( and conditions have to favor it) I go in to clear this guys tail, who has put themself and now me in danger, you better be heading towards our lines, and don't reverse course before I get there. Otherwise, I'll be landing while you finish cooking in the cockpit.

Not bashing you personally, but seen it way too often. Have fun, but if you get both wings shot off, don't come flying to me for help. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Forget about it dude. Hypno-Lobby has turned into a n00b fest lately. All the Wonder Woman, No Vulching (be for real, this is a war simulation) servers are taking the fun out of onwhine playing. The good DF or Co-Op servers are so full you must "take a number, take a seat". I REALLY, REALLY hope BoB does NOT have WW view, and the onwhine gameplay is better.

Thier are many FR or close to it servers running in HL. And they always have large numbers of players. Probably more then you think. You should go through and add all the ones that you desired settings to you friends list. Then they will show up at top of server list.

Some guys like to beat up the field with their lights all on and smoke trails going and everything. Unfortunately these guys tend to be overambitious and lacking in both skill and common sense and tend to ram themselves into the ground and often into other friendly pilots.

Buzzing an enemy airfield at 3 meters is highly encouraged in a mossie, however... ;-)

There was a time, on Warclouds, when I'd returned to base in a B-25, after bombing a column, defeating two enemy fighters who'd attacked me on the way back, returning to base with minor damage everywhere - someone's on the runway. Full throttle, go around, reach the far end of the airfield... "Engine out of fuel. Engine out of fuel" sings the HUD. I'm stuck between two forests and a town with not enough height to turn to the airfield. I make a decent field landing towards the town, steer to avoid the rapidly-approaching buildings, drive into the edge of the Invisible Forest...

When someone adress "idiot!" in a chat I usually assume he's identifying himself by his daily nickname.

Buzzing enemy airfields and shooting stuff on them is a good thing. Keep it up. Try to take some freinds with you and do flak suppression first then it will be allot easier to do some hardcore vulching.

Take a Tempest or a P47 also, for that real authentic vulching feeling.

THE best weapon for vulching is the corsair. Once you get good at using tiny tims, you can vulch out of range of the flak...then proceed if you wish to pwn anything else that moves with your hvars.

No,I will not vulch, dont believe in it.
