So I have decided to get over my fear of not having external view. Have completed 3 patrols now, all with meager tonnage. Guess I am being too cautious, but it's better to do that than evade depth charges while trying to guess where exactly the next pattern was laid.

A completely different experience! I really should have tried that earlier, in the SHIII days even.

If you still haven't, try it!

In my Glenn Ford career (http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/6421019045/m/5251005119), I turned off the external camera. I posted from Patrol 3 to the end of the career.

I agree that playing without the external camera is much more immersive. I do like to take screen shots, however. Most times, though not always, I'll limit my external camera use to when I'm already in visual contact and not to obtain a tactical edge.

I play with cams off and contacts on and find it a fair balance. If I leave cams on I end up using them to rush things..

Course gonna have to cut them on again soon, running out of SS's/
