OK after scragbag's video this pales, /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif but it does have a script, some different period music, and is based on historical events. I'm sure my bandwidth will get chewed up pretty fast so as soon as it's maxed out I gotta delete the links /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

Links gone... exceeded my band width for the month... sorry /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

hope you like it /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

sorry buzz.... if ryan2107 can watch it too, i'm thinking something in your codec [xvid for avi?] or in your media player... do you have the latest media player 9?

ryan2107 the music i used was identified as anthem-sovietunion-1943.mp3 which i thought was Internationale but THX-1138 said "One thing, the soviet national anthem that you used was not "Internationale" but instead the soviet national Anthem that came after the war" so i guess i don't know... it was fun finding soviet patriotic music, and the speaker is Stalin himself telling the "Brothers and Sisters that Germany was invading"

Yes, I have all the latest stuff. What's weird is I saw the intro. That wouldn't have shown if my system wasn't up to date. We need someone to look at it now to see if it works.

Nice movie http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

But see what Oleg have done to the IL2's so fragile now...

Graf in his BF109 mentioned once that his 20mm were bouncing off IL2's wings.... wonder where's the truth about this in FB..

Just downloaded and it worked fine (the small one)...

Nice! I liked the editing a lot. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif
However, there were a couple of scenes which didn't quite fit with the texts, like the one where the text tells about Soviet victories while camera shoots a landing IL-2 ripping in parts. But that's only my opinion. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Keep going!

Whats the name of the German song at the beginning?

"An attack against a unit of Flying Fortresses was something like controlled suicide...Sometimes 50, Sometimes 80 machine guns were firing at you... You attempted to close your eyes & continue to fire, Frightened to death, Frightened to death."

Oberst Johannes Steinhoff (176 kills)

Very Nice enjoyed the History lesson. Short I must be a slow reader had to back it up a few times to catch all the text. I DL the large one and it ran perfect.

Damn man, where are u from?
The download went 850-875 kbps all the way...now that's fasthttp://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
Not even Fileplanet with its 400-500 kpbs can compete with this.

the song is "The Horst Wessel Song" I believe that Horst Wessel was a rabid Nazi who was murdered in his hotel room. Possibly by a rival. The Nazi's made him a martyr for the "cause" and his song became the un-official Nazi Anthem. Due to despicable acts the Nazi's inflicted across Europe, I believe the song is outlawed in a few countries. I do not support nor endorse ANYTHING of the Nazi's [lost a grandfather to them] but only strove for historically correct period music. There's a reason the movie STARTS with the Nazi anthem and ends with the Soviet anthem [and at the credits, the Don River Cossack Anthem too]

Thanks for the answer, There's no need to apologize for historical correctness. Great movie, Loved the Katyusha's firing at once.
