What's in the bonus DVD, I'll tell you:

Video footage of the Maddox team (there's quite a number of them really) at work, there's no sound, just some music on these first vids. You can see some of the screens as the guys show what they're working on - you can't see too much detail really, but gives an idea of how BoB is coming along.
There's some amazing footage of the new waves, look very good from low down.
there's some new ship damage, showing that a ship will break in the middle.
We see WIP of the Blenheim and the new British hangar. All of this is video footage looking at screens (second hand footage).

Next we see some first hand video From BoB: taxiing, take off, short flight over houses and cliffs, some trucks, a tank (firing), animated water, and see the Hurricane in flight.

Next: two long videos of formation flying in FB by The Flying Wood******s and Haute Voltige.

Next some movies of the BoB cockpits, mostly with some animated controls/guns etc. We see the Blenheim, Ju87, Hurri (nice), Bf110, Br20, Spit (an old vid), 109E, Ju88, g50, He111 and the stunt plane.

There are a couple of high res screenshots in one of the folders on the DVD. there are also many, many, many screenshots of objects we'll get in BoB: Bombs, cockpits, ground objects, tanks, AA guns, searchlights, trains (many shots).

There are two short videos, one showing the new weathering over time, and the other showing an airflow model (doesn't really show much).

There are lots of photos of the Maddox team at various functions.

We also get the Sturmovik Guide on the bonus disc.

I've got this suspicion that Oleg wants BoB and his still not released RTS are going to be integrated with eachother somehow...<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Oleg doesn't have any part with Wartime Command. Different company.

Some IL-2 plane models are used in Wartime Command, however.

It's not been called Wartime Command for some time now - it's now Theatre of War.

Just been reading Luthier's partial translation of this Russian-Figher-Pilot-Tactics-Anno-1943-thing this morning - and noticed that some ammo counter-device was mentioned concerning captured Antons ... I just expected that the Russians were wrong or it wasn't modelled in game. But then again - if I was true about Maddox not modelling these counters, this forum would have been a lot messier...

Any other special devices I should know of? Hm, better just wait 'till '46 reaches DK... And in case it has - let me know..

In my opinion, what's interesting in the screenshot I posted is that there are cast shadows on the ground and on parts of the gun itself. Also the grass is far better than anything we've seen before.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

O. Maddox - "We decided to make an advanced next-gen engine for SoW:BoB that we can expand and modify also for a very long time. Let?s say for the next 7 years and to make a new series of sims that also will cover even more areas than it was done in IL-2 series"

Considering the long legs FB has proven to have, the above quote is saying a lot for the future of BoB.

As long as I stay employed for the next seven years, and not get married, life should be pretty good. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif<div class="ev_tpc_signature">
