Hey Pal!
I hope you know we'll need all the stats!
I don't make these rules... just gotta live by em like everyone else!
LOL
When my last, Kayley came she was 8lbs, 6oz's which was pretty big for the lil wife who is otherwise about 96 lbs if she's wearing wet clothes.
She came so fast there was no time for anything but a gown so it was rough, but quick!
The wife wanted to know, "How much does she weigh?" as the Dr was so impressed with her size and apologetic to Becky for not believing her several weeks earlier when she said she was ready.
"More than you!" I told her.
3 girls for us. A boy would be good, but I think we're past that now.
All our best and prayers for you and the Missus!
Is this your first?
If it is, all I can tell you is that if you thought the big girls were hard to figure.... Nah, just kidding, you'll be fine!
Good Luck!
B

I guess I had kind of forgotten this, but you may want to check!
My last one came only partly finished!
No, really!
The first thing I noticed was this ... I don't know... like a root or stalk deal protruding from the spot where the belly button is supposed to go! "It'll dry up and fall off after a while" they said.
Really!
So, I was wondering... what else will dry up or fall off.
I was like shocked and a little concerned.
Then, I get to looking closer and... NO TEETH!
I'M LIKE, "So, how's she supposed to eat?"
They start giving me some song and dance about how that stuff comes later.
I'm not EVEN telling you how she's supposed to eat, I'm just not going there!
They told me everything was OK, but then I realize she can't walk!
Not at all!
They tell me "Oh in a few months she'll crawl, then at like 10 months or so she'll start walking."
Well, just what the heck was I supposed to do in the meanwhile, carry her everywhere?
Then I discover that this production outfit has somekind of staffing problem, and I figure that I'm onto this whole "unfinished thing" for sure!
Turns out one guy, just one, does the whole deal.
Everything.
Concept, preproduction, design, assembly and fulfillment!
One Guy!
So, I'm looking around for some kind of upgrade or self install teeth kit or at least an 800 number to this guy, God and wondering about this root or stalk thing, the undeveloped leg thing and so on.
The good news is that 5 years on she walks just fine, runs and climbs always moving! The stalk/root deal dried up and fell off just like they said although the belly button area still has som issues, very sensative and somehow connected to the laugh center, some kind of connection problem maybe. Who knows, it's not like they give you a manual!
They didn't give you a manual did they?
Did THEY???
But the teeth thing has me worried a little.
See the first teeth finally showed up, then more and more and finally she had a mouth full, small, but there.
Now, here lately, they're starting to go bad or something, I don't know, but they are falling out one by one.
Granted, newer ones are coming up to replace these, bigger too, but that's just probably a clever trick so we won't sue! The old bigger and better, New and Improved deal!
My guess is that these were the right teeth all along and the first ones were just temporary till these could be made up.
I guess that's the deal when this one God guy has to do all the work!
Anyway, now you know!
Just in case they try to run this game on you, at least you'll be ready for it!
I just wish he could settle on a size, they all just keep growing and then right away the clothes don't fit any more!
Geeze!
They're pretty lovable though.... and you can't buy that with money!
I hope I got a smile!
B

Guys,
Day one is the best......... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif
On day one babies drink milk, fill nappies and sleep. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif
Its all downhill after that!. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif
The older they get the more they cost, make more mess and are more arguementative.
I've got 3 kids, Girl 25, boy 21 and minime at 15.
The 2 older ones had moved out http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif
But once they realised the washing, cooking and cleaning fairy that sorted out their stuff, had tea ready when they came home and filled the refridgerator didn't have their new adresses so they came back.............. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/bigtears.gif
Wouldn't be without them though................ well - most..er some of the time.

Too true most days!
Mine are all girls and not old enough to leave the nest yet.
We are building a new place with 2 large suites, built like a hotel suite, in the basement. Each will feature a large room, walk in closet and full bath.
There will be a generous living room, efficient kitchen- dinning and a full guest bath with a stackable washer/dryer.
This may seem like a lot, but MAY keep the girls local for college, saving me several times this cost later in less valuable dollars.
Plus, if Mr. Right becomes Mr. Wrong, my girls and any babies will be safe warm and fed under MY roof and will be less likely to be SNIOOP-ed.
(Subjected to Negative Influences Of Other People)
These will be under the main house and have a walkout basement to the lake and yard, so even if not needed for the girls after they leave the nest, they will be a great place for guests, family and friends to visit.
Rent, food, utilities and the other troubles attendant with children living out for the first time and at a distance, as well as out of state tuition, all the car related disasters (handled at a distance) etc will seem as nothing compared to dry wall, wire and studs.
Just the car thing: Some simple fix I can do in the driveway will cost mega bucks in some distant garage/repair place.
So, a method to my madness.... I hope!
Wouldn't want to live without them anyway!
Here's my girlies.

Three girls. I could imagine that Bfogel has not much to say at home.

Being outnumbered by them, the women usually seize command from the men http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Congrats, owner! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif Kids are the best. You'll just want to hug them to pieces.

I loved bfogel's story about the "unfinished" baby & the hospital staff! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif

@klcarroll
I see you had the same thought I did about women seizing power. Nice! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif
