Is it a good game? How long is the single player campaign? Is multiplayer good, and is it worth buying, or better to just rent?

People say it's the same thing as COD4 I honestly don't know. I'm not going to buy it I hate WW2 shooters. I'll just buy COD4 instead

Why do you not like WWII shooters?

youre stuck with crappy weapons and there's nothing that can really surprise you. besides there's been like a million games about wwII already, i think its enough.

They replaced airstrikes with dogs. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

That's why I want it.

I hear the dogs are hard to get away from and kill. Lots of complaints in that dept

That's true.

There are still airstrikes, the dogs replaced the helicopers since those didnt exist really around that time. In the beta Im sure I got killed by a plane dropping a bomb on top of me.

That's why I don't like WW2 shooters and it is way too overused.

To each his/her own. I just love these games. Too bad there was a problem with live as every 5 min it got busted. We were playing co-op CHALLENGE, which is a great deal of fun with 3 friends.

i absolutely LOVE cod, every single one and even though they did an amazing job with the wwII theme, i was hoping they'd stick to modern warfare and infinity ward.
but still, i'll have to wait and see.

roaring mac - keep us updated http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif. oh and by the way, any sign of captain price in the game?

No Cap Price any where. He is not American or Russian so he is not there. DANG
Beyond single player we have been having a blast in the co-op competitive mode. You still have to work together and all that but it is nice to beat your buds in points and outrank them. We also help each other with some of the challenges so that every one gets them done.

ah true, i totally forgot about that. it's such a shame there's no british campaign this time around.
i just hope treyarch won't ruin the franchise.

They are slowly killing the franchise with their idea of Veteran play. In some circles it is know as World of Grenades not World at War. The worst part is when you finally get to a spot that took forever to fight to the system freezes up and you have to start from day one. Don't get me wrong I love the game but am very disgusted with it at the same time.
