http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif Its the G36 although the G3 is still there and will stay just like the good old P-1 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/P1_pistol) does although there is a successor available .

Interesting picture there Celeon. What army is that? Those rifles seem rather short in length, even shorter than my old favourite the SA80http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif I wonder what the accuracy is like for those rifles.

Goose II believe that is the Mexican army hence Celeons comment on the FX-05 "Xiuhcoatl" which is their version of the G36 http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Yes indeed, this is the mexican army with their own produced new 5,56 mm assault rifle.

Its pretty obvious which weapon they copied here and thats why the german government aswell as H&K threatened to sue them till his kingdom comes. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

As a result the production of the FX05 was stopped and all so far produced weapons got destroyed.

In march of this year, a delegation of H&K went to the manufacturing company to inspect the FX-05 and to find out if H&K can sue the company aswell as the mexican government for copyright infringements and technology theft.

Surprisingly, shortly after that visit H&K declared that the FX05 is not a illegal technology copy of the G36 and announced that they do not plan to put up a lawsuit against Mexico.

Its obvious that it is indeed a copy of the G36 and thats why lots of rumours regarding H&K's sudden opinion change make their way through the net now.

If you ask me : Im pretty sure H&K made a deal with Mexico. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

They do not sue them, and Mexico signs some contracts with a H&K in return. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Maybe they bought a expensive G36 production license or they bought something else for the mexican army and/or the police.

It could be anything firearm or equipment related which the mexican army or police still lacks and could need.

As the mexican government is fighting a war against well-equipped drug lords (thanks to international weapon dealers) they are in need of superior firepower and special equipment and gear. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Since that H&K visit the FX-05 is in production again and about 8000 have been produced.

Oh boy, Fritz will love this thread!!!

all that it's correct, I should know...I'm mexican

I'm also suspisious about the delegation not finding anything illegal, it is indeed an obvious copy of the H&K G-36

word here was they were being built under licence, but who knows maybe some burocrat started earlier the production or never get the paperwork going

Still they look god damn good, like they say, If your going to copy, COPY from the BEST!

Celeon 1 more question.

Dose the Germany use American wepons?

08-20-2007, 12:20 PM
Yes. Do you mean small arms or all kinds of weapons ?

08-20-2007, 12:41 PM
small arms.

08-20-2007, 12:59 PM
Only one :

The M107 .50 BMG sniper rifle (We call it G82 and use a Zeiss scope)

But we use more Yankee stuff in other areas :

MLRS Rocket Launcher

M113 APC (In several versions)

Bell UH1-D "Huey" Helicopter

CH 53 Helicopter

Modified Stinger missiles (Fliegerfaust 2)

M2 Cal.50 machine gun (on ships)

Thats all as far as i know

Ok. I wanted to know if the Bundeswehr used the M-4 Carbine.
