Dunno. Its tempting..... (the missions as the Soviets particularly so!).

There are two demos worth checking out if you have not aleady done so.

http://www.3dgamers.com/games/callofduty/#filelist

Has the files (although there are many other places to get them too).

I only buy two games a year. Call of duty looks like a winner. Next year. FB add on and doom 3. year after b of b and we will see.

For anyone that's intrested in some Eastern Front action, go grab a copy of Unreal Tournament 2003 and download the Red Orchestra mod. It could use a little refinement at this point, but if the idea of a less "arcade-like" Day of Defeat appeals to you, definitely worth checking out!

It's all about Hidden and Dangerous 2:

I cannot even begin to convey how amazing HD2 is in comparisson to its original.

The Chinese use two brush strokes to write the word "crisis." One brush stroke stands for danger; the other opportunity. In a crisis, be aware of the danger, but recognize the opportunity

PC Gamer has a free demo (cd) in this months issue.

The only part that's not true,is the part I made up.

I gave it a spin, and I have to say I'm very impressed. Best weapon modelling I have seen in any of the first person WW2 shooters (and on a par with any of the best modern ones as well). Has bugs, but it is at beta stage.

If you have UT2003, definately check it out.

Little disappointed that one cannot play as the Germans, especially with all of their ultra cool weapons. The game claims it is about regular citizens trained to be highly effiecent platoons working together. If i am wrong on this I apologise but were not the Germans best known for their small group fighting techniques and morale. Heck after the war the Americans adopted and modified the German army's mantra for samll group fighting. The British and AMerican generals as well as regular troops were always amazed how well the german troops fought and their overall morale even late into the war. I will probably get this game simply for the online play aspect of it. Just disappointed no German missions. I would love to start a campaign in Barbarossa get transfered to fight in Stalingrad, then try and hold off the russian onslaught invading Berlin. The german soldier had to many good things not to be put into this game as a playable missions.

I guess I'm getting CoD, because I LOVE the demos. I'd only like to test MP before, because I usually don't play any solo-games except for training. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

If there were any news on Battlefield:Vietnam or JointOperations, I'd give them a go. Same for LOMAC. I'll make up my mind, when the full is released, but the demo wasn't sattisfying for anything more than a screenshot-generator.

Planned stuff to waste my money on are UT2004 (luv the Unreal-Series from the very first part) and the FB-Addon.

I'm also waiting for FullSpectrumWarrior, but that seems to be quite a while away /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

I've just spent the afternoon playing Red Orchestra. It is absolutely fantastic /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif It's a little hard at first, but once you get used to the weapons and maps its great fun /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif Still a few bugs, but it will be great when it's finished. I actually enjoy it more than H&D2.

By the way, WHAT is up with these forums!? :S
