Yes, 90 series are newer, but usually when a game recommends certain drivers, it just means those are the latest ones they recommend, as they were the ones they most likely tested to.

Others here should be able to help you choose between older and newer NVIDIA drivers, as my card is a Ye olde Ti series, I stick with Det 66.93s, the last PF-recommended drivers that I read about.

Allot of times, it just comes down to how the drivers work for you on your system. Some find older drivers are more stable; others find that the latest available drivers are more stable with the game and their PCs.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Indeed, if you have a problem with the display in IL2 then upgrade them. I only upgrqde drivers when I hit an issue, more trouble than it's worth to keep them up to date and in fact sometimes you can hit problems when you upgrade. So it's allways best to upgrade if you have an issue NOT for the sake of it.

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/agreepost.gif - both of them.

IIRC the 46 readme is based on the Pacific Fighters one as this is the closest one to the 46 release. If that is the case then the 81.** or 84.** drivers were the ones that were around at the time the Pacific Fighters readme was written. Things have moved on somewhat and now the 93.71 are the latest...<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Note: This document contains separate readmes for the 4.07, 4.06, 4.05 and 4.04 versions. Please make sure to read all pertinent information in all four readmes in your language. The readme you're using as a refernce is from 4.04, and alot has happened since then. You may get a good idea from the last page of this thread. hi all,

I loaded a QMB with my Hurricane v 3 He 111s.

My Hurricane ended up with damaged controls and no engine... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/sadeyes.gif

I ditched on the enemy base and watched the last He 111 land. The crew jumped out after landing.

But then I noticed that the Dorsal gunner who had been alive during landing for some reason decided to slump and die.

Did he finally die of his wounds after saving his ship??

I have a track if anyone is interested.

Best Regards,

There is a bug ingame, that's only on the heinkel as far as I know. When a gunner bails out, it displays a dead corpse in his seat after he has left the plane. It's strange, a bug, but true. Try bailing out from a heinkel and watch your dorsal gunners magically "die" when they bail out.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

I've been using the 66.93 drivers for ever now. I know there are newer ones available, but I have never noticed any problems on any games with these.

Just the same, I should probably upgrade them anyway I suppose.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Thanks all. Very helpful. I found the 97.44 beta drivers that were listed but they say they are only for the 8800. Will they work on my 7950GT?
