I have both IL2 Ace Expansion (with patches to include Spitfire), as well as Pacific Fighters, which there isn't any spitfire.

Any advice on how I may add the spitfire range of aircraft over to PF?

The only way I can think of is to go out and buy the 1L2_1946 DVD. Just Google it to find out where you can get it. It will give you all the games right up to version 4.07m. Add the 4.08m patch and you will be right up to date. Well worth the $20 you might have to pay for the DVD.

Thanks. The particular PC I'm working on only has CD drive. Is there a 1946 CD version?

No Spit in PF?

That's strange, I seem to remember that there is a Royal Navy campaign which uses the Seafire, which when you think about it, is a Spitfire http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

You can also download 1946 if you can't find a CD version.

Pacific Fighters has the Spitfire V and VIII and the Seafire III. Ace Expansion has the Spitfire V and IX. So...you already have the Spitfire in Pacific Fighters.

The download version is only for North America. Is there anyway I can buy from outside NA?

During install you should be able to choose to merge PF with FB: Forgotten Battles.

There is a European download i believe.

You can also get the DVD in most countries ..

though most people opt for the US version if goign DVD becasue it doesn't have the evil sony root kit that stuffs up other software.

You can get a decent enough DVD for the cost of a movie, a drink & popcorn. Get the DVD.

I agree with BC, buy a dvd drive, you can get them very cheap these days, you could even get one used at a pawn shop or fleamarket or something.

For the love of God people!! For the fifth time he doesn't need to buy 1946. With what he's got he already has most, if not all of the Spitfires. He might not have the late 25lb. boosted Spit, I'm not sure about that one. If Spits are all he's interested in this case, getting 1946 will not improve his lot one iota.

Well I would rather help the guy get the full flava rather than just continue to slurp off the top of the glass.. so as I said Avivion.. get 46.

finally, got myself a DVDROM, as well as IL2 46 !

I realised Spit IXc seems very unstable coming in to land. Is this the case? What is the correct approach and landing speed?

I hope the rest of your PC is up to running IL2:1946!
