Ok I cant remember the name of it http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif
It was a program you could run that would help control the input from your joystick.
it simulated the the infered device many people use.
I had it installd but after a "computer issue"
I need to reinstall but dont know wher to find it.
god i hope that made sense http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Sorry - can't make head or tails of it - but I can guess...
Do you mean Infra-Red with "infered" - Maybe even Track-Ir?
- In that case it has nothing to do with joysticks. Track-Ir is an Infra-Red hardware device for tracking head movements. It feeds these movements to the computer and controls mouse-movement that way (mouse emularion). There are several freeware programs that use webcams to acomplish the same thing, although much more resource demanding and less precise and reliable.
Try a google for "head tracking" http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif
Just click the link for the (old) Legacy Airwarfare site below my sig and look under Utilities; links for Cam2Pan and Freelook can be found there http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Right track IR sorry ive been away for a while.
anyway it was a track IR emulator.
subtile movements in the stick would move your view. it had a great interface and you could adjust the value of each movement. it was a great program but i cant remember what it was called. or where to download.
I thought it was "better view" something.
its not true track ir but it was nice.

I did use a program (JoyToKey) some years ago where you could simulate the mouse with the hat switch on your stick. This was great for looking around in Il-2. I believe the program can be found here.

It will take some time to set it up tough.

FB view plus is the way to go in my opinion if you do not have TIR. I used it for years. It allows your hat switch to act as your mouse giving you very smooth and precise panning. It has speed adjustments, a center view key, and other tweaks. I highly recommend it. http://www.airwarfare.com/Sims/FB/fb_viewplus.htm
