History channel began a three part series on Rommel this evening. Of course, I am recording it on my DVR with the intention of burning it to DVD. It repeats again around midnight or so, EST.

Let's see...famous graves I've visited:

- Patton's in Luxembourg
- Eisenhower's in Kansas (my father was one of the officers on the burial detail)
- John Paul Jone's in Annapolis (frawnce held his body hostage for awhile) http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/touche.gif
- Napoleon's (by accident, I was really trying to find a bathroom) http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif
- And a Personal Civil War Hero of mine, MG John Gibbon in Arlington National Cemetary

- I tried my hardest to find Von Richthofen's Grave in Germany, but failed http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/bigtears.gif

- And I really wanted to meet Erich Hartmann, but he passed away too soon http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/bigtears.gif

- So where in Germany is Rommel buried?

Richthofens grave is a complex story. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

He was buried on April ,23 1918 in Bertangles by australian soldiers with all military honors.

3 years later he was brought by the french war graves association to the german soldier graveyard in Fricourt.

On November , 20 1925 he was brought in an military ceremony chaired by Paul von Hindenburg to the Berliner Invalidenfriedhof.

1975 he was brought to his family graveyard in Wiesbaden and buried beside his brother Karl-Bolko von Richthofen.

And thats where he is now.....i believe http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif
