I think the il2fb's AC performance are ok.

It just the 109 series is very hard to flight, it needs very precise handling and flight sytle to utilize their performance.

Like the G10, it doesn't climb well at all when in high AoA even with careful CEM input to 2500RPM(1800hp rated output in that RPM), but it does out dive and dust out any followers with that CEM setting. It's a runner, but not a dogfighter in any way at all. This plane feels like it has high end and smooth torque, very smooth acceleration in flat and diving flight, but not in climb. G10 is a very special plane among 109 varieties.

G6 and Late are well balanced planes. It has the central flight characteristic among all 109 varieties. It can turn fast and climb well with some technics. It climbs well at 2500RPM Max Nose Up as all 109s. After you got the altitude, it can dive to catch up an opponent. Catch up a P39 or yak3 in sharp turn is very possible with this plane. G6 has a lot of torque for acceleration in low speed up to 400kph, use it well.

* 1.Faster than you opponent on his tail
* 2.After he start sharp turning, You Keep Flight Staright to the outer loop(in relation to the distance you will need to catch up in setp 5)
* 3.Cut Engine to 0% Pull as Hard as You Can Till speed drop below 400kph
* 4.Then Full Power to maintain optimal turning speed
* 5.Speed up to catch him (Your opponent would waste most his E after the sharp turning, but you will not)

hi,

I fly the 109 most of the time. The F,s are good in my opinion, the E,s an G,s don,t have the early power anymore, but I do not have the technical knowledge if it is right or wrong.

I think they are an easy kill. If someoen knows what there doing in one then it might be a chalenge.

When climb and turn rates, acceleration and speed loss will be corrected, Bf-109 will be untouchable until '44. Then La7 becomes a problem but only below 2000m.

I quite like the 109 G's, being pretty succesful in them. Yaks and La's are a problem but I can usually get out of trouble. The thing that is attractive about the 109, especially the G's, is the amount of firepower you can bring upon your opponent. It only takes a few shells from a 109G with nose cannon and wing pods to obliterate pretty much anything, inc. the mighty IL-2.

I do, however, think the flight model is a bit questionable.
