I managed to bring my 190 D-4 down in a field after having the engine knocked out and my controls all messed up. First I watch as a TB-3 at low altitude goes flying over me, hitting my FW but somehow not blowing it up. So after that nice display I bail out, and as I start running someone strafes the plane, the strafing path happens to go right through my pilot, and "pilot: killed"...

And if that wasn't enough, the plane gets strafed again a minute later...

But is the FW destroyed? NO! It's not even on fire! Now THAT is fine German engineering for you, folks.

I notice in the last pic that the pilots body has already been picked up by the Graves Registration troops. Now that's German efficiency. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

LOL yea...they were pretty quick, considering it was deep in enemy territory and the plane was still being shot at.

I'm really upset I didn't get my finger to the PrintScreen key quick enough - it was hilarious seeing the pilot running away with this spray of gunfire all around him, looked like something out of a movie.

I always go for the pilot on the ground you get the kill http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif Also the best is killing the pilot before his chute opens in the air

lol, reminds me of a time where some guy bailed and I clipped the pilot with my wing before he opened his chute!
Ripped my wing off and I was just stunned.

Similar thing happened to me once. I crash land, leap out because the guy's coming back to strafe my plane, and what happens? My dork of a pilot runs straight torward him and gets shot to bits! lol. Any other direction and I would have survived. Bah humbug.
