I did read what was available about prop pitch settings, but then i seem to have an understanding disability about the thing.

Could someone take the time to explain it in practical terms: take-off, climbing, level flight and dogfight-aerobatics: wich settings are best ?

Thanks a lot...

What aircraft are you flying?

What difficulty settings do you fly at (Complex Engine Management on/off)?

I fly with complex engine on, and an eclectic choice of planes( spits, Me 109, f4f-Corsair).

I just need the downright basics, i'll fiddle with each plane afterwards

The problem is that the basics depend on what aircfraft you're flying. To start with, read this article (click here) (http://www.avweb.com/news/columns/182082-1.html) by John Deakin at AvWeb about the history and management of real world propellors, then come back with some more questions http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif.
