I mentioned it a while back. I`m not that bothered about ULTRA historical flight model accuracy and stuff like that, as long as it`s pretty good. For me it`s IMMERSION. That`s why I always make the odd post on this: When we land in enemy areas in Campaign we should have a (percentage) chance of escape, as often happened in reality. It`s unreal to always be guaranteed captured if past the BLUE line. It`s probably already too late if not done.

But I hope it is...

hey, as soon as you land on enemy ground your comp autostarts Bf1942 or Wolfenstein and you can try to escape. that'd be great.

Now more seriously, i was thinking about that too. especially cause when a pilot crashlanded not too far off from friendly lines they sent a plane or a groundunit to get the pilot. so someone could look up the chance a pilot who landed in enemy terretory in WW2 had to make it beck behind friendly line. then we add a random generator for example the chance was 15% so this thing tells you if you got captured or not by doing random calculations or something like that.

2 things we need in FB:
The 110 and the desert!!!

OK let`s be clearer...

1. Your character is shot down. He bails.

2. Your character`s parachute lands in Enemy territory. Instead of a note of captured, have no message.

3. When player quits out (using escape) have program decide, on perhaps a percentile scale, whether player made it back without being captured or WAS captured.

4. Debrief comes up saying MIA or Player Returned to Friendly Lines.

That`s it simple. None of that over the top stuff people seem to think I wanted.

Surely this wouls take a few lines of code and be easy to implement.

I apologise if the wrong idea was communicated here. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif
