Is this company related to Naturalpoint? The Led clip looks familiar http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

Competition is good for the marketplace.

That clip looks too similar, hmm, I foresee a lawsuit, lol.

Looks interesting. However, I can't find ANYTHING that indicates the it will work with anything other than FS9 and FSX.

Anyone found any indication that it will work with 1946?

Looking at the manual it seems the operation is very different. TrackIR uses a combination transmitter/receiver and reflected IR. This uses a receiver and the head mounted part is an active transmitter.

Well thats how the track clip pro works, this looks like a knockoff of that.

My Track IR 3 6DOF clip is passive. Is the pro one active, then? (I haven't kept up!)

Ah roger, the trackIR 4 is still passive with the hat clip like IR3 6DoF, but there is an addon piece that is sold separately or bundled that is just like the one this thread is about, called the Track Clip Pro, it attaches to your headset or something and has IR LEDs on it. Most people who use it say the passive hat clip is better under most circumstances.

Cachya.com doesn't even use a LED....

I agree competition is good. I'm intrigued with this because it appears to be wireless, which is very cool. I looked at their website (vrinsight.com) and there's nothing on it that says it's compatible with anything other than FS9 and FSX, so we'll see if it's going to expand the titles it supports.

Well this is pretty much just like TrackClip Pro, 3 IR leds mounted on a clip that goes on your headset.
And if you are wondering how good TrackClip Pro is, I use it. When you first instal the software and set up the profile the thing doesnt work. No even a bit. Then after a couple of minutes, magicaly, it starts working, and im really pleased with it. Granted, i havent realy used the regular reflecting atachment because i have trouble mounting it on my headset.

It looks interesting, but I will stick with my TrackIR. I would be interested to know how well this works and if it is good for other titles.

Thanks & Warmest regards!
