We are all heavily into Pacific fighters and have been trying to access the bombsite in multiplayer for pacific fighters with no success, can someone help me please.
And if that can be done, then how does it work, is there a guide on the net somewhere that tells us how to use it?

I'm not into bombers really, but I flew them online a few times, and I recall their bombsights working OK... They should be! The key bindings are the same for offline and online usage.
For good guides on using them (with recorded replays), check the airwarfare:

If you mean, that you want to use the bombsight as bombardier, while someone else is piloting the plane, I affraid it's not possible.
Only pilot can use the bombsight.
Other players can only switch between the gun stations.
That is the engine limitation, which, initially wasn't supposed to work with planes that has more then 2 crews - one pilot and one gunner.
