Just noticed, how come that AC-BH is an 18 and AC2 was only a 15? the game doesnt look much different to AC2

Does it really matter?

Anyway, you can buy the game no matter what is your age..

And Brotherhood is one word.

the story is different, and that could mean that there is more violence or stuff

it depends on who rates it, AC1 and AC2 were both 15 by the BBFC yet both of them were rated 18 by PEGI.

so as everyone said when this same question came up for AC2, there is no age change it's just PEGI and the BBFC often disagree with each other, this is why so many firms want to drop the BBFC for the UK and just use PEGI for the entire of Europe as then one rating covers every country. (it's actually in law now that firms can chose not to use the BBFC but most still do)

well, if i was games company then i'd probably go for the rating that allowed for a greater audience, but i know that age rating means very little now, what with all these 9yr olds running around screaming about how they've just got Gta.

game ratings don't affect game sale's, a shop is legally allowed to sell a 18 rated game to a 5 year old as long as the parent say's it is ok.

but 'stricter' parents wont say it's ok.

Let's just hope that there are private games and no public spam chat enabled.
I do hope there is none of that age rating crap.
I hate trying to pick up a pre-order then being asked for ID.

Game Developers don't decide age ratings, that's done by Classification Boards like PEGI, completely seperate organizations, and all the Devs can do, is make recomendations, but the final desicion on rating is up to the Board.

that depends entirely on the country and local law, in the UK until recently anything that was going to end up U/PG went to pegi and anything else would go to BBFC, but the government was slowly making the change over to pegi dropping the BBFC for game, so at the moment it is in limbo and that is why firms can chose.

but if the law gets finalised (like in most countries) the firms must get their games rated by the authority approved by the government.

I hope that the USK will also rate it 18+. Because in germany you CAN'T buy a game if you're not old enough (some stores don't care anyway http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif )

It really needs a high rating to get rid of most of the flaming kiddies in MP. We all know that we will encounter them.
