havent been playing PF since the release of SH3 http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/784.gif, just wondering if there wll be some 4 engine flyable aircraft in the patch??? im really getting tired of small bomb load i can get in the b25 and he 111, i know this has probably been asked many times but have we gotten a strait answer yet?? and there is enough resources for a b29 and b17 cockpits so the dev team cant say there isnt enough info for b29 cockpit which is in the NASM in the us and there are a few flying b17s left in the world so lets see some flyable heavies please http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

There were many attempts to create another 4 engine bombers like the B-24 and the B-17 but they never got finished so no new flyable heavies in the next patch. The problem isn't resources, its the modelling of each gun station and the cockpit which is as much work as working on several different cockpits at the same time.

Hmm..... I can say this: who cares abaout Tempest, Mosquito, Betty, Kate, Pe-2,MC-202...
I say we need heavy bombers! TB-3 is just a flying paper... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif but it is better than nothing.
We need HEAVY BOMBERS!!!!!! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif

well, with the TB-3 capable of carying around 4,500 kilos, and the He-111 capable of carrying 4,000 kilos, I'd say we got a couple of good bombloads.

But yes, I'd love to have another 4 engined beast such as a Lancaster or B-24, but it ain't gonna happen.

I recall someone actually did model the cockpit of the B-29, but the project was shot down and there will be no flyable heavies.

IIRC there was also a cockpit for FW Condor beeing modelled...looked pretty good to me. But for some reason it wasnt included. Ok, so technically its not a "heavy" but its 4 engined and it wouldve been cool anyway.

It looked good but like the Typhoon and a number of other projects, the modeling standards weren't compatible with the game engine.

The B-29 was a total mystery and is an example of some mismanagement.
