If you read this page http://hometown.aol.co.uk/dominicobaggio/crewmanagement.html You will see that it says, " **Be carefull with fast time speeds around enemies, their detection range is increased at high time compression**

Is that true? i never heard that anywhere before.

Next time you have an escort just on the edge of visibility and keep him there, or if you are hiding and the enemy is nowhere near, jump to max compression it will allow, i guarantee it will find you.

Also one mission i was out of sight of an enemy who was sailing parralel to me (i know because i cheated and used the camera to test) set to high compression and he turned and charged me.

I guess its because the computer has to calculate everything so fast, so it approximates. And you are obviously not meant to use the really fast speeds in dangerous situations.

Its not a problem i was just pointing it out to people.

Yeah, it's true. I got detected from a LONG LONG LONG ways out by a destroyer and quite a few of its friends. I don't even think I could see them they were so far out.
