My friend sent me this link. It has a long series of pics of a diorama made with 12" figures; I think they are by Dragon models. You have to look!

Be careful if you have kids in the room because there are some links at the bottom of the page that go to adult sites. Tiny icon pics, not hardcore, but possibly offensive.

I'll link a few of the featured shots so you can decide if you want to see more:

Too much time and money.

Looks terrific though, except the kung-fu grip hands and wrist joints. PzIV dimensions seem a bit off, as the turret looks too big.

Still very impressive, like I said....

The Dragon figures are top notch aren't they. When I was a kid I had 12" figures called Action Man http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif. I thought they were great but they just dont compare to Dragons stuff.

With the right crop and photo weathering, this one is very realistic.

I think the way he positions the figures - different angles, rifles held differently etc -gives a real sense of movement, particularly the ones where some are seated with others seeming to pass by. The pics showing them boarding trucks are also convincing. Interesting to see.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Dragon eh, they sell good models but i think it cost a little high. I prefer to buy assembly kit like tamiya or academy. They cost somewhat cheaper and you get SIZE for your money. Though you got to sweat a little while assembling & painting it. In the end satisfaction is guaranteed for a very looooooong time http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif. God, i just love those 1/35th tanks. They look terrific! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif It's not too hard to build them. perhaps the first will be slightly poor if not downright a failure but the more u try the better they get.
My collections so far are Merkava Mk2, Merkava Mk 3, Leopard 1A4, T72M1, T62A. I plan on adding to them soon. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

EDIT: Oooh that is from assembly kit? I've never seen a soldier plastic model with such amazing details. the clothes is not plastic. It makes a great dust-trap. Great modelling though

WOW,amazing!
But,I can't believe someone that went to so much trouble never thought of "5 o'clock shadow",or dirt/grease on a few uniforms/bodies,or vehicles.

Still,not only good 'craftsmanship',but good photography. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Lyrics from Naked Raygun's "Rat Patrol".
"What we need to take control,we could use the Rat Patrol. What's that coming over the dune?...
Chasing the halftracks across the sandflats, got a nice pine box,for that desert fox, machine guns blaring, and Arabs staring wondering why,the Westerners are there. It's the same old story, and it'll happen again."
