If so, we should all meet up for a lan or something? Or make a squadron?

I was born in Chicago, raised in NW Indiana near a small town called Lake Village. My parents currently live South of Chicago south of a small town called Beecher...about 17 miles from Kankakee...but alas, I now live near Memphis....would have been cool to have been a part of a lan...never done that before!

Is there a midwestern flight squadron at all?

I used to run the 131st_VFW (http://www.geocities.com/vfw_131st/index.htm) We used to do LAN parties, But I could never get them to become a Team, and work together, every one wanted to either be a Hero or didn't care to get serious. So after 3+ years I shut it down Last May.

I still have the origional Geocities page running, But took down our better HTML pages.

I would be interested in in a Midwest Lan partie, Based on IL2 though if it was during a time frame I could get off work if needed, to attend.

Hey everyone,

I am originally from Grafton, which is about 20 minutes north of Milwaukee and now I live in Oshkosh. It's good to see some other pilots so close to where I live. Go Brewers!!!!

Hey Berndt, I'm from Madison and my oldest son lives in Oshkosh, and works right next to Wittman Field for Oshkosh Trucks. Just wanted to say howdy.

Hiya!

Born and raised in Chicago... my parents and sister still live there. Moved to Florida for the weather, the scenery and never having to shovel snow again. Favorite football team is still "da Bears".

A LAN squadron is a great idea, good luck.

The whole simming scene is non-existant here in Chicago, I have yet to find anybody (besides my friend at school) that actually plays sims like this and others.

Hmm, maybe I should call out for them with flyers and what not I wouldnt mind http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Try finding flight simmers downstate around where I live (Pekin, IL, just SE of Peoria)! Maybe you're looking for simmers in the wrong crowd. In my experience, flight simmers tend to be older folks (30-50 years old) that never got to be pilots in real life.

Move to Alaska, lol.
I personally know at least a half dozen people who have flown this sim and have chated with just as many others but never met them yet all in Anchorage.

One of the admins at Warbirds of Prey lives in Chicago. Oddly enough, his handle is "Chicago Chad". Might give him a PM over there.
