"Peter Jennings, the suave, Canadian-born broadcaster who delivered the news to Americans each night in five separate decades, died Sunday. He was 67. Jennings, who announced in April that he had lung cancer, died at his New York home, ABC News President David Westin said late Sunday."

I dont know who he is, but anyone who can bring people the news for that long deserves my salute! RIP!

I always thought that Mr. Jennings was the best of the big three network anchors.

He seemed more "real" and less "plastic" than the other news dudes.

He will be missed.

My prayers go out to his family.

It's funny......... he's been in my living room for so long. I remembering him 'explaining' the LINE in the SAND during the first Iraqi war. He described it without talking down to his audience, and yet he was able to communicate so many things about that time and place.

I watched him on September 11th.

Imagine doing what he did for as long as he did the way he did WITHOUT a HIGHSCHOOL diploma. Amazing.

Rest well Peter. My best to your family during this time of sorrow.......... and relief.
