Hi all! I'm a beginner both in online flight (wow! it's cool, even if the most part of the time I'm hanging on a chute.../i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif ) and in forum... and I've some difficulty with some terms and abbreviations used both online and in the forum, like IMAO, or LOL, or BUMP, or S etc (but I've undersood some like RTB and THX!). /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif
I'm also not english language, (I'm italian), and maybe this can increase my difficulty... anyone can help me? Where I can find a legend of those terms and abbreviations (if existing..)? or anyone can post some traslation of most used terms?
Tanks in advance to all for the reply.
bye
Pagooro

ROFL Roll on floor laughing

IIRC - If i recall correctly

Edit here are a few more:

S! or any S- Salute
RBJ - Ray Ban Jockey
Slider - a device such as a throttle on a joystick

Bump isn;t an acronym IIRC /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif its just what some people write when they reply to a post just to 'bump' it back up to the top of the front page of the forum (so it is easier to notice)

OK Here is a few to begin with :

S! : Salute!
IMHO : In My Humble Opinion
IIRC : If I Remember Correctly
WRT : With Regard To

LOL : Laugh Out Loud
ROFL : Roll On Floor Laughing
ROFLMAO : Roll On Floor Laughing My *** Off /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

A "Bump" is to add a post to a topic to 'bump' it higher in the rankings (so it stays on page 1) without adding anything to the post. Sort of "I agree, and want to keep the post high-up".

Let me see, I don't know them all either but here are some:
LOL: laughing out loud
BUMP: Is used to "bump" up the message in the boards, if the topic is relevant and it's about to slip away.
IBTL: In Before The Lock, used if the topic is non-relevant to the forum.

There are some more, but I don't recall them.
