Hi, I've just made this petition for Ubisoft to ask The Florentine council to dedicate a bench or something to Ezio with a plaque on it. Maybe with his name or the Assassin insignia. I hope it catches on. Please sign http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

http://www.change.org/petition...e-to-commemorate-him (http://www.change.org/petitions/ubisoft-ask-florences-council-to-mark-ezios-death-place-to-commemorate-him)

Wouldn't it be nice to visit Florence, see an Assassin symbol engraved into stone there and think "I was a part of that".

@barto Thanks and it wouldn't have to be anything major, maybe just a slab on the floor with Ezio's name on it.

@naran Fair enough, but I think even though he's fictional, he's had such a huge effect on people that a real world sign of our admiration for him wouldn't be weird. But your entitled to your belief http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Hahah there's no fixing that mate. I've signed this by the way, but I highly doubt that the beautiful city of Florence would put in a bench or a plaque dedicated to a video game character. Seems highly unlikely but I would be very cool to see something for Ezio in Firenze. I feel like an oaf though for saying that. I mean, he and the game aren't real.

They have to reclaim their honor as real Italians after letting the Jersey Shore gang set foot on their ground, somehow right?

I think the Florentines owe Ubisoft for making a game that promotes the city's tourism.

I signed, but I suppose it'd be more likely the Florentine government would agree is if Ubisoft paid some of the costs.

This is only a childs dream and could never happen guys. Haha.

Besides, they'd throw up Mario and Luigi first.

Eventualy Ezio is a real existing person in that period of century,as there was not much info about him(The only known things were that he was the son of a noble banker which we all know trough the game and so on)so he was a perfect character for the AC team.(I came across that info somewhere accidently)
Eventualy i like the idea,why not. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

rocky's likeness is a statue in philly... although i don't really see ezio having the same impact as rocky... which i think is silly too. but that's just my opinion. i'm gonna pass, sorry.

Im 99.9% sure that this wouldn't happened (.1% if it wasc crazy enough to implement) but whatever. If it don't happen, then most of us were right, if it did happen, all the more reason I wish to visit italy http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I accept that it's highly unorthodox and unlikely of succeeding but I'll try anyway.
I'm not asking for a golden statue, it could be the smallest thing in the world but to just have something would be great.
Laura Croft has recieved her own plaque, so it's not the first time a video game character has been commemorated. Also, I have the feeling it's the sort of thing Ubisoft would be happy doing. They always go a bit further for their work and their fans.

It's just an idea and if it doesn't work then no harm done but I want to try anyway.

There's a big statue of Sherlock Holmes right outside Baker Street train station, and his silhouette and illustrations from The Strand magazine adorn the walls.

I don't know why a small statue on a bench where he died can't be made.

I don't know if you meant actually. But no, no he wasn't.

They made him up just like they make up quite a few characters to mix into the history.

Sophia for example...isn't real. She's just based off that painting you steal back for her.

You could probably get your own plaque made up and screw it to your front door. Just a suggestion.

Why dont we just go there and run around at night carving AC signs everywhere.

Because the Florentine government would consider it vandalism, regardless of whether it is based on Assassin's Creed or not.
