King of Kong

Ostensibly it is about Donkey Kong but it is really about character and heart. Watch the trailer.

Those were the days my friend. I thought they'd never end.

Oh wait. They never did end. I just transfered putting my quarters into an arcade coin slot to putting them into new processors and video cards.

Defender was my quarter waster of choice...... followed up by Ms. Packman. (The bar I played that at had it sped up 2X. After a few beers it became a challenge.)

Aahh, yes, Defender was one of my faves...
also the original Pac-man, Asteroids and Battle Zone. Those were the days, indeed...

I was the kid to beat on Centipede and Tempest.

I could certainly hold my own on PacMan, Joust and Defender.

I remember my folks finally gave in to my arcade addiction and started simply giving me a roll of quarters for allowance http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Thanks for the memories, Waldo http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Remember Battlezone and Red Baron ( not the PC game RB )?? I used to play the heck out of those two, along with Joust and Asteroids and a few others. But talk about arcadish, that Red Baron game was an Atari game I think, the planes were just wire frames. But I guess it should have been arcadish, it was played in arcades after all!! If I had all the quarters I put in those machines from about 1980 to 1985 alone, I could buy a really nice new PC!!
Yup, the memories.........
