Stupid question: How can I keep the speed of my aircraft UP, while making a turn? I lose speed(down to around 200-240km) while making a turn and generally get shot down, as this loss in speed is unrecoverable. I am a true noob to this game, and to flying, and just need some "hints". Any help would be appreciated. Basically how should I make an efficient turn.

Dont turn! Well dont turn hard, be easy on the stick. Energy management is the name of the game here so if your going to do a maneuver that will burn energy like a hard turn make certain you are doing it for a reason.

Your motor turns fuel into energy very slowly so if you want to bank up some "E" climb and put potential E away. You can turn potential E into E very quickly by descending. Much quicker than your motor can, you can then cash this E in to perform maneuvers.

A great way to do a hard turn without burning too much energy is to use the horizontal. Before turning climb up to store that E then turn after which you can descend and cash in that E you saved. This also allows you to stay behind your opponent while having more E in the bank. Remember the best position to be in is high on their 6.

Good luck and have fun

Great read karost. I am begining to understand now what it is I was doing wrong. I belive I am pushing me plane to hard into a turn. Another question, should you trim your plane for level flight before engaging an enemy? Is there any benefits to this. Or does this auctually hinder performance?

trim+ is good for turning tactic

and Yes, I like trim level flight before engaging an enemy coz I like to play energy tactic.

soon when you understand about energy tactic you will find new dimension of fun , but it takes a lot of time to understand it coz energy tactic is invisible force (adventage) you can not see it with your eyes but you will see it with your head http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
