Great fun guaranteed!

Just a friendly reminder http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/agreepost.gif

09-12-2007, 01:32 PM
4 attacker and 3 escort slots left.

You can see all the details here:

- Those wanting to attack the formation must be aware of how IL2 handles collisions. Take that in mind when signing up. One collision can take out up to 4 bombers.

For those that would still like to attend, please do.

You won't regret it!

Hey, I was wondering if I could maybe fly gunner position...might that be possible? Mainly due to the part that my joystick is thoroughly taken apart, but I'd still like to be a part of something this epic. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
Plus, I find tailgunner fun. I can read a book or so while I wait for some bad guys to show up. I'm generally a very capable tail gunner.

09-13-2007, 08:27 AM
Sorry, It will be on a dogfight server.

That means no AI and no Tail gunners.

It's a shame, but it's the best way to do it.

That was awesome . I had one hell of a time. Why don't we schedule it for every third Sunday of the month. I am willing if you are.

I highly encourge all to take part in the next one. We will be needing Attackers , Bombers and Escorts.

Also, how about we go Blue for the next event?

09-16-2007, 10:20 PM
I don't know about every 3rd Sunday, but the Sunday 3 weeks from now is a good date for the next run.
We will almost definatly be flying Ju88s or He111s on the next run.

I want to do this badly. I downloaded the tutorial on level bombing and while I'm not exactly Einstein, I'm not Oog the caveman either. I'm finding it very, very confusing. So I'm asking a couple of questions.

1. Are there any single missions in the game that allows me to practice this stuff?

2. When not leading the bomb run I just drop my bombs when leader holla's for me to do so?

3. If/when I learn how to target and bomb effectively and lead the show, will AI do my bidding so I can practice this?

4. Anybody got any missions they could send so I can learn how to do this offiline so I don't kill anyone when I try it in UKded?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Worf101, nice to see you wanting to take part.

Be sure you DL my manual (in the sig) if you still haven't. All things are described there.

But to answer you shortly:

- There is a single mission, you can find it here:

- Yes, when not leading, you drop on Leader's call. Leader has a deputy who keeps his BS angle the same if Leader goes down in last second. We use manual bomb release method, described in my manual. During formation flying ONLY leader uses LVL STAB and can if needed use his guns - rest of the pilots keep formation.

- Not sure I understand this, AI is quite different from human players. To my knowledge you need to give them special command to drop when you do. With human bomber pilots, Leader shouts over TS 1 second earlier - to compensate for TS/IL2game/human reaction lag.

- Check first answer. I'd highly recommend you to get on TS with us and fly online with human pilots. You will shorten your learning curve faster flying offline. God knows how many times we've collided before we got to this level. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif You will start with easier positions, like tail-end charlie. Than move to right wing and left wing (the toughest to fly on). And so on. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

NP. It is good to see new bomber pilot. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Lately I'm rarely online due to RL obligations, but you will find many good bomber and formation pilots on www.battle-fields.com (http://www.battle-fields.com) forums.

We mostly fly on UKD3, because of its full real settings. There are pople there every night. Just join TS, allot of friendly guys on it. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
